The
purpose of voice study is to produce a pure,
resonant, musical tone, in order that the voice
may become the vehicle for artistic expression,
and that it may be at all times subject to the
emotional demands of the singer.
From the beginning,
students receive instruction in the technic of
correct breathing, tone placement, flexibility,
diction, tone color and style. They are
taught, however, to think of correct tone production
as a means to an end
