The Voice Department is under the immediate supervision of the director, Mr. Earl Rosenberg, who occupies a position of eminence as a singer, teacher and conductor.
     After graduating from a prominent conservatory of music and spending several years in private teaching, Mr. Rosenberg went abroad for two years' study with George Fergusson in Berlin.  During this time he continued his piano study with Professor James Kwast of the Sterns Conservatory, and composition and conducting with the composer, Hugo Kaun.  Mr. Rosenberg's general musicianship and his superior qualities as an accompanist earned him the position of studio accompanist for Mr. Fergusson.  Through this work he has obtained an unusual insight into Mr. Fergusson's methods of dealing with all classes of voices from the beginner to the artist.

 Returning to America, Mr. Rosenberg spent five years at Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kansas, as principal teacher of singing, and as conductor of the famous Messiah Festivals at that place.  A host of successful singers and teachers from his studio attests the excellence of his teaching methods, and the press of  the country has been unanimous in conceding Mr. Rosenberg to be one of the finest choral conductors in America.
     The season of 1913-'14 Mr. Rosenberg was again in Berlin, where he enjoyed considerable success as a teacher and singer.  He continued with his work with George Fergusson and coached programs with the composer, Hugo Kaun, and with Dr. Ernst Yokl, the late Gustav Mahler's assistant at the Metropolitan, New York.
     Coming to Kansas City in July, 1914, he immediately assumed a place of distinction among the vocalists of the city, and within a month of the opening of the Horner Institute of Fine Arts his teaching schedule was entirely filled.  A waiting list is maintained for him, and persons desiring to enter his classes should make application as long as possible in advance and they will then be assigned the first open time available.
