Miss Margaret von Glaubitz
MISS MARGARET VON GLAUBITZ

Miss von Glaubitz is a native of Chicago.  Her early studies were with Hans Schroeder in the Chicago Musical College, from which institution she  graduated with high honors, receiving one of the four medals annually awarded to the most gifted students.  For four years she was soloist at the Emmanuel Baptist and Woodland Avenue Methodist Churches.
Miss von Glaubitz then spent five years in Mannheim and Frankfurt am Main studying principally with Herr Eduard Bellwidt, teacher of Alois Burgstaller, Anton Van Rooy, Heinrich Hensel, Elizabeth von Endert, and other celebrated singers.
She was a member of the exclusive Bach Verein in Frankfurt and filled many concert and oratorio engagements in Frankfurt, Mannheim, and other German cities.  Following one of her Frankfurt recitals Miss von Glaubitz was engaged to sing Samson and Dalilah and Elijah in Worms, Homburg and Friedberg.

Many other important engagements were sacrificed by her return to America at the outbreak of the war.  In addition to a beautiful voice and unusual temperament Miss von Glaubitz is a good pianist and a splendid musician.
