Miss Guila Adams.
MISS GUILA ADAMS

Member Drama League of America.  Miss Adams is known far and wide as a teacher and reader.  After several years on the Lyceum platform she became throroughly interested in educational work and forsook the platform for the studio, devoting only her summers to Chautauqua work.  Prior to her engagement at the Horner Institute of Fine Arts, Miss Adams was in charge of the Department of Expression in the Kansas City, Kansas, High School.

Miss Adams has studied in a number of well known schools of expression and under the most famous private teachers, but in her teaching she follows no one system or method.  When asked the secret of her success in the studio and on the platform she replied:

"Naturalness -- sincerity, enthusiasm and naturalness -- and the greatest of these is naturalness."

The enthusiasm and artistic  finish observed in her own work on the platform Miss Adams imparts to her pupils.
To prepare herself for the coaching of the plays, Miss Adams took a special course of study in Sargent's American Academy of Dramatic Art in New York City.  Following is a partial list of plays staged by Miss Adams:
