MR. LOUIS COGSWELL

Mr. Cogswell was a pupil of Milton C. Snider, one of the best teachers in New England, and of William A. Howland of New York City.  He is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music and was for three years a member of the voice faculty of that school.  Later Mr. Cogswell was called to fill the position of head voice teacher at the State University of Oklahoma.  He resigned to assume active management of the music department of Clark Teachers' Agency in Kansas City.
Mr. Cogswell has made special study of Public School Music and his success and experience as a Voice teacher enable him to present to the best

advantage many neglected and important principles in Public School Methods.
Under Mr. Cogswell's direction the Public School Music Department has become one of the largest departments in the school.  Many successful teachers have been sent out, and all are enthusiastic over the completeness and practicability of the material obtained under Mr. Cogswell.
