MR. FORREST SCHULZ

    

     Mr. Schulz is recognized as one of the foremost violinists and teachers in the country.  He has  had exceptional advantages of study with some of the most famous teachers of the world, and follows in his teaching the principles of the Sevcik School of Violin Playing.  Mr. Schulz began his music education at an early age.  He studied violin in America with such men as Max Fischel, Bruno Kuehn, Ludwig Becker and Hugo Kortschak of Chicago.  During his four years in Europe he was a pupil of Prof. Sitt and Prof. Becker of the Leipzig Conservatory, and of Prof Suchy in Prague.  His theoretical work was done with Charles F. Erlander of the American Conservatory, Chicago, and Prof. Gustav Schreck of the Leipzig Conservatory.

     Since his return to America Mr. Schulz has held a number of important posts as teacher of violin and the progress of his students in many instances has been remarkable.  He is assistant concert meister of the Kansas City Symphony Orchestra and recently achieved a notable success playing the Mendelssohn Concerto at one of the Popular Concerts of the orchestra.  His artistic playing and the excellent results of his teaching have created a large following for him in Kansas City.  In every phase of his musical activity as performer, teacher, orchestra player and conductor, Mr. Schulz has been singularly successful.
