the advantage of being located in

and dust and at the same time within
easy reach of the business district.

the evening.
In addition to the regular class
rooms we have at out command a large
auditorium for our public recitals.
The Board of Education rooms and the
Public Library are on the opposite
corner, the imposing quarters of the
Young Men's Christian Association is
only a block away, the central
building of the Young Women's
Christian Association is two blocks

away, many eminent teachers of music
are in the immediate building, all
offering advantages to the student.

DESIGN OF THE SCHOOL |
|
"Mend
your speech a little, lest it may mar your
fortunes." |
|
-- SHAKESPEARE
-- KING LEAR.
|
|
The primary object of our school is to teach
Expression as an art or personal culture
whether the aim of the student is public
speaking, platform reading, teacher of the
art, Lyceum or Chautauqua work, or merely
grace and ease in private conversation.
The work in the courses being both educative
and practical, it not only cultivates the
intellectual and physical faculties, but the
charm of personality which is so necessary
in the successful man or woman in every
vocation in life. Our training
develops the mind and the body as well as
the voice.
Our school produces teachers of Expression,
Physical Culture, Literature, thoroughly
competent to take positions in the best
schools and colleges.
The result of this design, which includes
all the most advanced educative ideas, is
the success of twenty-two years of fruitful
progress. |
