- Applications for
membership shall be made to the Secretary of the club, with
the endorsement of one or more members, and when an
applicant has been unanimously accepted by a vote of the
Board of Directors he shall become a member of the Club.
- The initiation fee for
each new member shall be $5.00. The dues of each
regular member shall be $1.50 for each regular dinner which
he attends. The Board of Directors may, however,
increase the dues for attendance at any dinner as special
occasion may require.
- No member of the Club
shall speak longer than five minutes in a discussion, at any
dinner, and not more than once at any one meeting, unless by
unanimous consent.
- Each member of the Club
may invite one out-of-town guest at his own expense, to any
monthly meeting, first having given due notice thereof to
the Treasurer of the Club; each member may have the privilege
of inviting one resident guest to a monthly dinner, by first
securing the consent of the Treasurer of the Club.
- Each retiring President
shall be an honorary member.
- Any member who fails
for three consecutive Club meetings to pay his dues, upon
notice to him, shall be dropped from the rolls.
- Any member leaving the
city for an absence covering more than three consecutive
Club meetings may, or written application to the Secretary,
be transferred to the non-resident list and relieved from
payment of dues during such absence.
- Any name proposed for
honorary membership must be submitted in writing to the
Board of Directors and endorsed by them unanimously before
being put to vote of the Club.

The following amendments
to the By-Laws of the Club have been recommended by the
Executive Committee for adoption by the Club, to be acted upon
at its first meeting in October, 1902:
Section 2 of the By-Laws is hereby amended so as to read as
follows:
"The dues of each active
member shall be Four Dollars ($4.00) per annum, payable
semi-annually on the first day of April and the first day of
October. In addition each member shall pay $1.50 for
each dinner which he attends. The Board of Directors
may, however, increase the dues for attendance at any dinner
as special occasion may require.
Section 6 of the By-Laws is hereby amended so as to read as
follows:
"Any active member whose April
dues are not paid by October first following, or whose
October dues are not paid by January first following, or who
shall allow any dinner or other dues to remain unpaid for a
period of three months, shall be subject to suspension from
membership."
Section 7 of the By-Laws is hereby amended so as to read as
follows:
"Any member in good standing
leaving the city permanently may, upon application to the
Secretary, be placed upon the non-resident list and relieved
from the payment of dues. Any non-resident member
returning to the city may be restored to the active
membership upon application to the Secretary.
