John Lee Wheeler was born at Parkville, Missouri,
October 8, 1862, and his boyhood was spent in Platte and Jackson
Counties. He attended the Kansas City public schools, a boarding
school at Platte City, and then Central College at Fayette.
Judge Wheeler came to Kansas City in 1884,
and went into the law office of D. B. Holmes. He was admitted to
the bar in 1886, and began the practice of his profession alone.
He was Police Judge from 1890 to 1892.
Judge Wheeler is a Mason, a Forester, and a
Woodman, and is one of the leading Democrats of the city.
He was married to Miss Anna M. Henson, of
Emporia, Kas., January 1, 1899.
