Green Parrot Vegetable and Side Dish Recipes
 

GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE

1 pkg. frozen split green beans   2 tsp. sugar
1 can mushroom soup 1 c. cracker crumbs
4 tsp. butter 1/2 c. sliced almonds
Salt and pepper  
 

Combine beans, salt and pepper, and sugar, and cook until beans are tender, with very little water left on them.  Pour into a buttered baking dish, add mushroom soup, cover with cracker crumbs and top with almonds, bits of butter, and a little more salt and pepper.  Bake 30 minutes in a moderate oven.
