Samuel Wallace Moore was born January 24, 1862, in
Geauga County, Ohio. His parents removed to Cleveland O., when
he was nine years old, and after going through the ward schools he
entered the High School, from which he was graduated in 1879. He
then went to Mexico and Arizona, and by Clerical and other work earned
money enough to take himself through college. He attended
Adelbert College in Cleveland, and was graduated in 1884. He
completed the three year course in two years by means of taking extra
studies.
He studied law at the Kansas University,
taking his degree in 1877, and immediately afterwards came to Kansas
City, and entered the law office of Lathrop & Smith. In 1892
the firm of Lathrop, Morrow, Fox & Moore was organized, and
continues still.
Mr. Moore has served as president of the
Knife and Fork Club, and was elected president of the Kansas City Bar
Association in 1901. He is a member of the Commercial Club,
Country Club, and Kansas City Club.
He married Miss Harriet Cooke in Kansas City
September 30, 1896.
