Green Parrot Inn Cake Recipes


12 egg yolks   2/3 c. warm water
1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. sugar, sifted
1-3/4 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. lemon extract

Add salt and water to egg yolks, and beat until very light and thick.  Add sugar gradually, beating while adding.  Fold in one cup of sifted flour.  Sift baking powder with rest of flour, and fold in.  Add flavoring.  Bake about 60 minutes at 300-325 F.  This makes a very large cake.
