Sift
before measuring. Cream
butter and sugar, add eggs one
at a time and beat well.
Add sour cream, flour and
spices, and mix well. Stir
soda into prunes, and add to
batter. Bake in slow oven
in layers. Use with Prune
Cake Filling.
PRUNE CAKE FILLING
1/2 c. sour cream
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. nutmeats
1/2 c. chopped
raisins
1 egg
1 tb. butter
Mix well, and cook in double
boiler until thick. Spread
between layers of cake and pour
over top.
