Cream
butter, add sugar and salt, add
beaten eggs, and beat until
light. Sift dry
ingredients and add to first
mixture alternately with milk.
Add almond flavor. Pour
into well oiled oblong pan about
10 x 8 x 2". Arrange peach
halves over batter, cut side up,
and sprinkle with the brown
sugar combined with the
cinnamon. Dot with butter.
Bake in moderate oven for 30
minutes. Remove from oven,
place a marshmallow in center of
each peach and return cake to
oven to brown and to melt the
marshmallows. Serve warm. |
