One of the most important
departments of this big practical institution is the machine shops.
Don't make any mistake about it; if you
expect to hold a position as an automobile expert, or if you plan to
open and run your own repair shop, you must thoroughly understand
machine and lathe work as applied to automobiles.
In order to give you this practical
training, you will notice from these pages I have installed a great
many different sizes and kinds of lathes.
While, of course, I do not claim to make an
expert machinist of you, yet I teach you here in this department of
all the lathe work and machine shop work you will need to know in
order to be able to handle all of the heavy repairs on automobiles,
tractors, trucks, etc.
This department is under the direct charge
of an expert machinist, a man who has spent the best years of his
life in making machine repairs, automobile repairs, etc., and he not
only thoroughly understands the business himself, but he understands
how to teach it to you.
I own and operate two big garages and
repair shops, and am pretty thoroughly posted on just what an
automobile mechanic needs to know, and that is the reason that my
graduates are so thoroughly trained.
There is no guess work about my course of training.
Every point, every detail, has been
thoroughly thought out, worked out in actual practice,, and tested
by use, so learning the automobile business it is not a case of what
I think, but it is what I know by actual experience in handling
scores of mechanics in my big repair shops here in Kansas City.
My machine shops are thoroughly equipped
with all types of lathes and other machinery, so that her you get
the actual practice and experience in making all kinds of heavy
repairs in the automobile, tractor, truck and stationary gas engine business.
My students get thorough, practical
training in my big machine shops, and this is mighty valuable and
necessary training.
To make good in the automobile and traction
engine business today you must be pretty thoroughly posted and have
actual experience and training in machine shop practice in its
relation to automobiles and tractors.
A man who has never had this training is
handicapped just that much and will fall just that far short in
making good in the business. I know from practice and
experience that it is necessary, and that the only way to teach it
is by giving you the actual practice and experience on the lathes
themselves, under the care of experts who are with you to help
you all the time and give you individual instruction. |
