tower be granite, the
masonry seems
Just a symbol upbearing our
loftiest dreams;
For it typifies longing, and
carries the soul
To the height of that
longing near glory's far
goal.
As we gaze
at the tower through
shimmering light,
Not the polished blocks
only, arise on our sight,
But its spiritual meaning
ennobles our thought,
To embrace the deep service,
